Making A Difference
Thanks to the generous support and donations the memorial has received through it's various fundraising efforts, in a very short time we have been able to establish these valuable programs:
- The Lindsay Bennett 'Follow Your Bliss' scholarship established at Coronado High School. The scholarship is administered by the Nevada Public Education Foundation. 2010/2011/2012
- The Lindsay Bennett Memorial scholarship was endowed at UNLV. 2011
- The Memorial began research and development for a middle school awareness program (L.E.A.P.). 2011
- The Memorial gifted seven (7) middle school students from three (3) different area schools with an integrity savings bond award after competing in an essay contest. 2011 & 2012
- The Memorial partnered with the Nevada Department of Public Safety for the 'Buzzed Driving is DRUNK Driving' awareness campaign displayed at the Thomas & Mack, Cox Pavilion and Sam Boyd Stadium. 2012
- The Memorial is continuing its current development for the L.E.A.P. (Lindsay's Educational Awareness Program). This program will align to the middle school health curriculum to help students make responsible and healthy lifestyle choices in today's society. The program is being developed in a unique public/private partnership with the Clark County School District.
